Buhari Sends Four Governors to south east on Peace Keeping Mission (See Them)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

President Buhari who is away on a United Nations conference, sent a team of five Northern governors led by the Borno state Governor, Kashim Shettimma, to broker peace in South-East region of Nigeria following the recent clash between IPOB members and the Nigerian army in Abia state.

 

 

According to Vanguard, others Governors in the team are Aminu Masari (Katsina), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi) and Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano). This is coming after the group activities was proscribed by South East Governors and declaration of the group as a terrorist group by the Nigerian army, a move the Senate President, Bukola Saraki described as illegal.
